The Pearl 

Since we’ve skipped right over Spring and jumped right into Summer with these close to 90 degree days, we’re starting to feel a little tropical here at Veils and Cocktails. Today we’re following that vibe with this cocktail- “the pearl” being the cherry in the glass.

Ingredients (1 serving)

2 oz. light rum

1 oz. cherry liqueur 

2 oz. prosecco 

1/2 grapefruit squeezed 

1/2 lime squeezed 

Ice cubes

1-2 cherries (for garnish)

Directions

Pour rum, cherry liqueur, prosecco, grapefruit and lime juice into a highball glass. Add a few cubes of ice. Stir (be sure not to overstir so you don’t lose all of the bubbles from the prosecco). Garnish with a cherry or two and maybe even a lime if you so desire. Cheers!
